Pilgrimage | Mass in Italian | Fatima Novena | Free video course on Mary

1. We’re planning a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy outside of Kraków on Saturday, 20 May.  This will be a one-day pilgrimage, like our previous pilgrimage to Jasna Góra Monastery.  For the itinerary and full details, see the special announcement.

If you think you might like to go, contact us through the contact form on this website, or put down your name on the list after Mass next Sunday. Signing up or contacting us is not a commitment to going on the pilgrimage. It just lets us know that there are enough people interested to make it worthwhile organizing the trip.

We’ll ask for definite commitment and give everyone the final details at our meeting after Mass on 14 May, so be sure you’ve decided by then.

2. Next Sunday, 7 May, there is an opportunity for you to attend a small Mass in Italian at 10AM. If you are Italian, please feel welcome and bring any other Italians you may know who would like to attend. It’s a chance to worship in your native tongue, meet other Italians, and have contact with an Italian-speaking priest.

The Mass will be in the chapel in the friary at ul. Krucza 58. This is the older house across the street from the south side of the church. Look for a rooster weathervane on top of the house (street view on Google maps). You enter through the gate and the small parking area, and then go through the glass door and right up the stairs and ring the bell. Someone will let you in.

Fr Arek advises that you try to get to Mass about 15 minutes early, in order for someone to let you into the chapel. Please do not be late, because the chapel is right next to the door, and ringing the bell while Mass is in progress will disturb the people attending the Mass.

3. May is the Month of Mary, and this year is the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady to the children of Fatima. The Novena to Our Lady of Fatima begins on May 4th. You can sign up for the novena prayers to be sent to you by email every day – nothing to print out; nothing to pay. This is the easiest possible way to remind yourself to pray this novena and to draw closer to Our Lady in this special anniversary year.

4. The Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology is offering a wonderful opportunity to get to know the Blessed Virgin Mary in Scripture, through a series of high-quality videos available online for free during the month of May. It’s easy to sign up; you’ll be sent a message every time a new presentation is made available through the month. Normally, this course is only available on DVD for about $100USD. But this month, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima, the St Paul Center is making the series available for free. You can sign up to watch in English or in Spanish.
